A cultural gem just across the park with a varied programme offering a whole lot more than just opera.

The Pavilion Arts Centre (5 mins walk)

Buxton’s second theatre offers a fantastic range of music, drama and film.

The Pavilion Gardens (5 mins walk)

Enjoy 23 acres of restored parkland, complete with lakes, a miniature railway and the first stretches of the River Wye. The Octagon building itself plays host to over 100 events annually, from Artist & Designer Fairs to the monthly Farmers’ Market.

Buxton Museum (5 – 10 mins walk)

It might not look like much from the outside but the museum certainly packs in the content once you open the door! Find out about the history of the area, view pieces by local artists and see if you can catch one of the temporary exhibitions on display.

Buxton Swimming Pool (5 – 10 mins walk)

Devonshire Spa (10 mins walk)

Spring Gardens Shopping Centre (10 mins walk)

If shopping is your thing then it’s all downhill from The Servants’ Quarters to the Spring Gardens Shopping Centre.

Go Ape (20 mins walk / 5 minute drive)

For those who like a bit more of a thrill, climb through the trees and whizz down a zip-wire in the woods of Buxton Country Park.
