‘This was our first time visiting the Peak District area and we were really pleased with our choice of location and accommodation. The location was ideal for accessing all of Buxton’s amenities on foot, including the lovely Pavilion Gardens, which is two streets away. We did walks from the door (Poole’s Cavern and Solomon’s Temple, Corbar Cross and the Ring of Trees) and it was a short drive to others. We also recommend the sightseeing tour bus, which you can pick up from Bakewell/Chatsworth and we had a great visit to Lyme Park by bus. We were happy to have chosen Buxton which seemed to have more going on than neighbouring towns. There are lots of independent cafes, bars and restaurants all within a short walk from the house. There are also at least four supermarkets in the town. The house is very well equipped and comfortable with everything we needed. It is set over three floors, so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. For us, it meant that we could spread out and have our own space.
